Trump cultists told us during the campaign that we had to unite around the Republican nominee, and once Hillary Clinton was vanquished and Donald Trump was President we could have dissent and disagreements on policy and in the legislative process. We know now that this was always a lie, as folks like Dennis Prager continue to demand absolute loyalty with no dissent.
This is idolatry. This is cult behavior. This wickedness must be rebuked and rejected.
I support President Trump, because his policies have overall been good and helpful for this nation. I was pleasantly surprised that Trump has been as good as he has been especially on protecting the unborn. Prager does a good job listing Trump’s policy accomplishments in his column. While I did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016, I would vote to re-elect President Trump if the 2020 election were held today.
But I will be damned before I renounce criticizing the man.
Donald Trump is not a god. Donald Trump is not a messiah. Trump should not be treated as either god or messiah. He is a political leader, not the subject of worship. The Apostle Paul warns us in his letter to the Corinthians that those who worship anything other than Jesus Christ actually worship demons.
When President Trump does good things, he should be defended and supported. When he is unfairly attacked, he should be defended. When he is wrong, he should be criticized. That is how it works in a constitutional republic. It is our responsibility as citizens to stand up for what we believe in, even if that means criticizing the President of our political party. Declaring that Donald Trump is above criticism is depraved, wicked and evil.
I’m going to warn you right now: This behavior leads to eternal damnation in Hell Fire. Prager and other Trump cultists who demand blind loyalty need to repent and worship the only true God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not worship men as gods or messiahs, even if that man promises to “make America great again.”
Finally, the 2016 election is over. Hillary Clinton is politically dead. People complaining about Clinton might as well be complaining about Ted Kennedy’s rotting corpse. Continuing to screech and shriek about how terrible Hillary Clinton would have been as President is political necrophilia. Stop it.
